THE WEALTH OF THE KEMEROVO REGION

This picturesque region in Western Siberia, with its incredible and still wild nature, stretches along the foothills of the Altai and Sayan Mountains.

Kemerovo region is also known as "Kuznetsk Land" because nature has generously endowed it with its riches, the most prominent of which are ores, coal and gold.

For example, in terms of coal reserves and quality, Kuzbass is the largest among all exploited coal basins, and it is also the oldest gold mining region in Russia.

The region is also renowned for the extraction of uranium, chrome, titanium, manganese, bentonite clay and other valuable minerals.

Here, on the left bank of the turbulent Mundybash River, which originates in the Gornaya Shoria Mountains, "Pelageev Log" is situated—a deposit rich in marbleized limestone for facing.

It was discovered back in the 1970s during the development of the Gornaya Shoria area in the Kemerovo region. Its confirmed reserves are estimated at 1,150,000 cubic meters.
